The method of brain tumor needle biopsy with Virtek navigation system was invested with the help of our Russian colleagues. The latter allows determine the histological structure of the tumor and decide the future actions of radiation and chemotherapy. Nowadays, the radiation therapy is not performed in the world without knowing the histological structure of the tumor. The method of Virtek biopsy allows perform safe brain tumor biopsy even in the most difficult localizations. It helps to avoid from damaging the vessels and other important centers. The patient can go home even the next day of the surgery. The average duration of the biopsy is not more than 1 hour. This method in Armenia is available only in Medical Center "Nairi".
